ACCUPLACER INFORMATION:Accuplacer is used to place students in courses at MnSCU 2-year colleges. Most MnSCU colleges require you to take the Accuplacer prior to registering for classes. The Accuplacer does not determine admission to the college--it is used to determine appropriate course placement to promote student success.Accuplacer tests are given frequently at 2-year MnSCU schools. If you have been accepted to a MnSCU 2-year college and need to take the test, contact the Testing Center at your college to schedule a date or check the college's website for dates. Your first test is free, the second test has a fee. You can only take the test twice.If your 2-year college is not in the metro area, you can request a test voucher from your college and then schedule the test at ARCC or ATC. You must have a voucher before signing up for the test.At many 2-year colleges, your MCA or ACT scores could be used in place of the Accuplacer test. Each college sets their own minimum score requirements for the tests.
