Anoka-Hennepin High School Counselors to expand service this summer
(05/02/2025) Providing the academic planning students and families need often goes beyond the school year. Counselors at each of Anoka-Hennepin’s comprehensive high schools are continuing an option to fill that gap with regular office hours two days a week over the summer months.

Blaine High School special education teacher Ted Erickson named semifinalist for Minnesota Teacher of the Year award
(03/04/2025) Blaine High School special education teacher Ted Erickson has been named a semifinalist for the 2025 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award. Erickson is one of 31 educators statewide who will be considered to move on as a finalist after being selected as a semifinalist from an initial field of 142 candidates.

District seeking feedback on Wellness Policy
(11/05/2024) Every three years, the Anoka-Hennepin School District and its Health, Wellness and Safety Committee conduct a review of Wellness Policy 533.5. The review of the Wellness Policy is required by law and is done to help maintain compliance, assess progress and determine areas in need of improvement.

Testing opportunities for students to earn a World Language Proficiency Certificate or Bilingual/Multilingual Seal

Seniors THU 6/2
Senior Chromebooks will be collected on Thursday morning 6/2 at Cap & Gown Distribution and senior breakfast in the cafeteria. If students are no longer using their Chromebooks and want to turn in their device early, please invite them to check it in during school hours at the Tech Support office located in the library / IMC. Students can verify what materials they still have checked out by going to Lock & Key and choosing the <Destiny-BHS> icon and select the tab called <My Info> to see what students have checked out:
It saves time with this volume of devices if Chromebooks arrive fully charged. Students will receive messaging on proper cord wrapping and wiping for sanitization for the next user. Fees of $25 will be applied to accounts of students with Chromebooks with broken screens, missing keys, charging cords or stylus pens (x360 model for grades 9 & 10 only and students enrolled in geometry). A full replacement fee of $100 will be applied to a device that has been damaged beyond use or for devices not returned per the responsibility agreement found at tinyurl.com/y42t7up3.

Blaine High School will soon be collecting its 2,644 Chromebooks currently checked out.
