My name is Mrs. Gaffaney. I was a Chemistry Paraprofessional in the spring trimester of 2014 as well as in the fall of 2014 at Blaine High School. I came back to Blaine do my student teaching in January of 2015, then took the Testing Paraprofessional position for the remainder of the year. I started teaching at Blaine in 2016 and am back for year three teaching Biology and Anatomy & Physiology.
I started college with a year at the University of Michigan, then transferred to the University of Minnesota and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology in 2010. In 2013 I made the decision to go back to school and get my education license and am now teaching what I love most! In addition to that, I started a Garden Club at Blaine High School with the help of Kari Skoog. This year we have a spot in the community garden at Blaine City Hall and were asked to plant flowers in front of the school. We are hoping to add an orchard to our endeavors, as well as a greenhouse.
I got married in October of 2013 to my wonderful husband Jordan and we had our first child, Quinn, in November of 2014. Our second son, Bram, was born in March of 2017. In our spare time, we love to be outside doing anything from hunting and fishing to gardening. We have a lively Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Huckleberry Finn (Huck), who loves running with us and hates water. We also have two cats named Hedwig and Atty.
