There are many college research resources available to you. Here are a few that students use frequently.
Naviance is an excellent resource to begin researching colleges. Open the Naviance Student app from your AH Apps (lock and key) menu.
You can use the SuperMatch feature to find colleges that match your "fit" based on preferences you select. Once your list populates, you can select the name of the school to view more information about the college. Naviance also provides scattergrams and a visual guage indicating the liklihood of acceptance.

Once you find colleges you like, be sure to add them to the Colleges I'm Interested In list in Naviance by selecting the heart icon under the school's name. If you have colleges on your favorites list, Naviance will alert you to upcoming college visits or tours.
After you create your list, you can now begin your in-depth research to determine if the school is a good fit for you. Spend some time researching things such as:
- Admission statistics like GPA, class rank, ACT/SAT test score needed for admission
- Recommended HS course requirements
- On-Time graduation rates
- Extended time graduation rates
- Graduation rate for your intended major
- Retention Rates
- Tuition Rates
- Percent of students receiving aid
- Percent of full-time faculty
- Return on investment
- Average starting salary for graduates
- Activities, clubs and organizations that interest you
As you continue to narrow down your list of schools, take a tour of the college if at all possible.
