Welcome to my ART classroom website

I am excited to be teaching art for my second year!  Prior to teaching art, I worked with youth in a social services setting in Minneapolis for over a decade. I have a passion to encouraging and supporting youth people and art so I turned to art education as a way to combine my two passions.  I received my Bachelor of Arts from Taylor University and my K-12 Art Education license through Bethel University.  My husband is a chiropractor and we have one daughter.  Beside teaching art and creating art, I also enjoy running, camping, and spending time in nature.  

I believe everyone has an innate need to creatively express themselves, the goal in my classroom is to encourage students to find their artistic self-expression and voice.
