18-21 Year Old Transition ProgramsSome students may need more time to complete the requirements for a high school diploma or learn the skills necessary for employment and adulthood. Anoka Hennepin Schools offers three programs for students who are 18-21 years old based on their individual needs. Please talk with your student's case manager about whether these programs would be appropriate for your student.Two Rivers Transition Program at Franklin is a secondary special education program designed for students with educational disabilities and transition needs who are between the ages of 18 and 22 in post-secondary education and training, employment, and independent living. The program offers a functional and vocational curriculum with a focus on the acquisition of skills to promote increased independence in the community and a successful transition from high school to adult life. We strive to provide experiences and learning that will provide the foundation for students to have meaningful and fulfilling adult lives as individuals, family members, employees and citizens.Anoka Hennepin Technical High School is for students who are past their graduation date, but are interested in completing their requirements for graduation. We follow all of Anoka-Hennepin curriculum and award a high school diploma upon successful completion of the graduation requirements.
