Joining the Military
It is an honor to serve our country, and many of our students elect to join the military following high school. The branches of the military include the Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, and Air Force. While each branch of the military has it's own requirements, the following are consistent for all branches of the military:
All branches will require a high school diploma before you will be allowed to enlist.
This test is offered several times a year through Blaine HS, and is also available at STEP several times each year. The test consists of 9 subtests, including General Science (GS), Arithmetic Reasoning (AR), Word Knowledge (WK), Paragraph Comprehension (PC), Mathematics Knowledge (MK), Electronics Information (EI), Auto Information (AI), Shop Information (SI), Mechanical Comprehension (MC), and Assembling Objects (AO). The minimum score for enlistment is 31.
