I absolutely love being a member of the Anoka High School community! My passions include reading, writing and learning new words. Teaching students to love reading is my life's mission. I completed my undergraduate degree in 1999 at the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science (minor in Diversity). Realizing something was missing in my life, I decided to enroll in Hamline University's Masters of Arts in Teaching program. Though my teaching experience began in 2006, I completed my degree requirements in the spring of 2014. My life has been a true testimony to perseverance and dedication to education. My journey here at Anoka High School started in the winter of 2009. Throughout the years, I have taught all of the high school grade levels, but mostly 9th and 10th Language Arts courses. It is my pleasure to work with parents, students, and fellow colleagues on this lifelong educational journey.
