Anoka High School's new makerspace is located within the library, replacing two computer labs. Construction began in the summer of 2018 and is complete.

What exactly is a makerspace? A makerspace is a place where students can work on projects by themselves or with others, sharing ideas and similar interests, equipment and technology.

Students will have the opportunity to use the makerspace with their classes or as an individual driven to develop new skills. In conjunction with a flexible learning space for classes, the makerspace will provide workspaces and learning opportunities for people to explore and develop the following skills:

    • 3D Printing
    • Laser Cutting/Etching
    • Robotics
    • Textiles
    • Audio Recording
    • Digital Video Production
    • Digital Visual Arts
    • Vinyl and Sheet Cutting

Anoka High School is excited to see this space developing into a powerful setting for learning. Stay tuned for updates.
