Anoka High School Choir update:

I greet you in hopes you are all healthy and safe! We are in unchartered territory and in times of uncertianty. Each day seems to change in ways we wouldn't expect.

I can tell you that I already miss seeing my students every day. The art of singing together as a choir is a very deep passion of mine and I know it will feel very different for all of us.

I promise that I will work hard to provide opportunities for learning that will keep us on track for the future! I know there will be many questions about that future and I will do my best to provide answers to those questions in a timely manner.

For now, please look forward to getting started next week. At the end of the week, I will be sending information through Synergy about how to we will get going.

Michelle Hayes Biography

My name is Michelle Hayes. I have been teaching at Anoka High School since the fall of 1991. I work with all four choirs during the school day, as well as the Seventh Avenue Carolers, Premiere, and other specialty groups. I have served as the Music Department Leader for the past 6 years. In addition, I am the Vocal Music Director for the Anoka High School Theatre Program. Beyond Anoka High School, I sing professionally with the Minnesota Opera Company, the Minnesota Chorale and frequently perform as a freelance artist throughout the 6 state region. I love teaching at Anoka High School and I love working with all of my students. They are smart, talented and really clever! Thank you for all you do to support and encourage your student, the Choral Program and Anoka High School. We have a big year planned and I look forward to seeing all of you at our concerts this year!!!
