    Welcome to our Classroom Website
     
    I have 17 years’ experience as a special education teacher, working primarily with emotional/behavioral disorder (EBD) students. Before coming to Anoka High School, I worked for three years at the Anoka County Juvenile Center in Lino Lakes. I have taught Special Ed English and Social Studies classes. I am currently a support teacher for 3 Tri-Intermediate Algebra.  I will be assisting Rod Sandstrom with the students who are enrolled in the school's work program this year.  I also supervise Anoka’s Anime and Gaming Club.
    I have two kids (both Anoka graduates) who aren’t kids anymore. My son Tony plays fiddle in an Irish rock band (The Wild Colonial Bhoys) and my daughter Emilee is living / working in Chicago.
    When I’m not at school, my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing to do is sit barefoot on the deck and play guitar!
    Other interests: golf, video and computer games, biking, and running a highly competitive fantasy baseball league.
    I love teaching!!! It keeps me connected with youth (even though my youth is long gone). I look forward to working with your child!
