Anoka High School Center for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM)

Hello, I am Jon Plotz, an English language arts teacher in my 16th year at Anoka High School. I have experience teaching 9th, 10th, and 12th grade English, but the bulk of my teaching has been for 10th grade English, 10th grade honors English, and Debate. I have coached debate and been an advisor to GSA Spectrum. When I’m not doing school work, you might find me playing Scrabble, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers (I grew up in Wisconsin, after all), or spending time with my partner, Sawyer, my 8-year-old son, Anthony, and my 23-month-old toddler, Zachary.

I am delighted to help Anoka students engage in the learning process and develop skills in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking.
