Welcome to Mr. Anderson's 2020-2021 Classroom Website

 

 

My name is Tim Anderson and I am in my 7th year as an English teacher here at Anoka High School. I'm also the Head Speech Coach as well.(Speech Fever...Catch it!)  Prior to coming here I spent 10 years as an asst. speech coach for Centennial High School. I am a 2014 graduate of Metropolitan State University where I received my bachelor’s degree in English. I also have my Master's in Teaching from Saint Mary's University. I am a product of this district having grown up in Coon Rapids and graduating from CRHS in 2000 and it has been a dream of mine to be able to come here and give something back to the district that gave me so much. It’s my hope that I can add some energy as well as understanding to the classroom. I was once a struggling student and it’s my belief that experience gives me a different perspective when it comes to building relationships with students. When I am not here I am usually on a golf course or following my wife Kari around some zoo in the 5 state area where she pursues her passion in photography.

I know this trimester will be challenging for all of us. I hope you keep your head up and stay patient. I will help steer this ship in the direction you need it to go. I will also make myself as available as I possibly can during this process.
