Kurtz, Brittney / Ms. Kurtz Home

Hello! I am Mrs. Kurtz, and this is my 11th year of teaching and 5th year at Anoka High School. I grew up in the small town of St. Francis, Minnesota and graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2012. While at SCSU, I competed in track and field as well as cross country (Go Huskies!) After college, I taught English at St. Francis High School for six years before joining the Anoka family. In my spare time, I enjoy running and spending time with my husband, my four-year-old son Wesley, and my two-year-old daughter Charlotte. My goal this year is to build strong relationships while challenging students to think critically about the world around them. In addition to teaching ELA in grades 11-12, I'm an assistant cross country coach and assistant track and field coach here at Anoka.
