Volunteer Services is coordinated by Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement, a Community Education program. Anoka-Hennepin Schools are grateful that each year, over 10,000 dedicated volunteers contribute thousands of hours of their time, energy and talents to support our schools, students and staff.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Anoka-Hennepin Schools. Volunteers are essential in supporting student learning, staff and our schools. Due to COVID-19, volunteer activities in the 2020-21 school year will be limited until further guidance has been provided from the MInnesota Department of Health.
We encourage you to fill out your school’s volunteer application and background check form for this year to stay updated on opportunities to be involved in your school.
- Find your preferred school, or view the volunteer service directory to contact a school of your choice.
- Use the volunteer application instructions for assistance in completing your application and background check.
Community members and organizations wishing to help
Thank you for your support of Anoka-Hennepin students, we appreciate your generosity. During this unprecedented time, we're leaning on our community for support - we're stronger together!
Below are some additional ways to support our Anoka-Hennepin students, staff and schools.
Provide financial support
The Anoka-Hennepin Education Foundation (AHEF) is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by asking for donations to meet the emerging needs of students and staff. Your donations will give the capacity and flexibility to meet the not yet known (and not necessarily budgeted for) needs to ensure students and staff are able to effectively implement distance learning.
Donate to the AHEF Agility Fund to keep kids connected, engaged and learning.
Schools may be accepting donations specific to community needs. For individuals and organizations looking for ways to help, contact our individual schools.
