Mrs. Emily Bedsted
This is my 15th year teaching Health Science classes in the Anoka Hennepin School District. I teach Medical Anatomy I & II, Medical Terminology, and STEAM biomedical engineering at Anoka High School and Champlin Park High School. I have a background in health care as well as a Bachelors degree in School and Community Health Education, and a Master's degree in Reading and Curriculum Instruction. I come from a family of educators and I take pride in my profession. I am passionate about teaching our future health care professionals and I strive to create an environment where we can work hard, have fun while learning, learn from our mistakes, and become valuable members of our community!
I enjoy making connections with my students and it's been so rewarding to see students go on to pursue their dreams of being nurses, physical therapists, sonographers, physicians, medical assistants, biomedical technologists, and more. Please feel free to email me with questions and concerns regarding your student. I expect my students to take responsibility for their learning and advocate for themselves, but I enjoy connecting with parents as well. Here's to a great year of learning!
Outside of the classroom I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, hiking, flower arranging, exploring the North Shore, and spending time at the family cabin in Park Rapids. I live in Saint Paul with my husband, our two children, and two cats.
