History and pride were on full display during a special on-field ceremony during halftime of the Tornadoes Homecoming football game at historic Goodrich Field on Sept. 26 with the induction of five new members to the Anoka High School Tornadoes Hall of Fame.
The five-member class of 2025 includes a school administrator who served during a significant time in school history, twin brothers who excelled at soccer at Anoka and also professionally, a basketball and soccer standout who earned the title of national player of the year in college, and a high school state champion who served as an inspiration for others by staying optimistic while battling cancer.
With the five new members, total membership in the Tornadoes Hall of Fame is now at 60 members in the 153-year history of the school. The class of 2005 is the seventh class of members inducted.

Art Dussl
Principal, 1963-1986
Art Dussl, Anoka High School principal, 1963 to 1986
Art Dussl joined the staff of Anoka High School in 1960, first as an assistant principal; and then in 1963, as principal. His service came at a time of significant enrollment and community growth in the Anoka-Hennepin School District. Anoka High School achieved multiple state championships and numerous accolades during his 23 years of service as high school principal. Known as a tough disciplinarian who also demonstrated a sense of humor, Dussl set the tone at Anoka by stressing relationship-building in a safe atmosphere where people work and learn together as the foundation of the school community, a characteristic of Anoka High School that lives on today. Art retired in 1986 and passed away in 2017 at the age of eighty-nine. -
Todd Dusosky
1997
Todd Dusosky, class of 1994
- Anoka soccer’s all-time leading scorer
- Two-time all-state, all metro selection, two-time all-conference, led the Tornadoes to state three consecutive years including a second place finish in 1991.
- Played at Viterbo College for one year, where he broke the single-season scoring record with 36 goals and 18 assists.
- Played professional soccer earning all-rookie team and winning a league title with the Cleveland Crunch in 1996; being named to the all-rookie team and winning a league title. Scored 269 goals in 393 professional games, named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the league finals in 1995, all-star game MVP; a three-time all-star, three-time all-pro whose teams won four league titles.
- Also competed professionally with the Minnesota Thunder, the Milwaukee Rampage, and the Milwaukee Wave United.
- U.S. National Futsal team from 1998 until 2007, representing America in the FIFA Futsal World Cup in
Taipei, Taiwan. - Member of the Milwaukee Wave Hall of Fame. His jersey number 17 was retired along with his twin brother Troy’s number 19.

Troy Dusosky

Troy Dusosky, class of 1994
- Was a member of six national championship teams during his professional soccer career and was named a four-time all-star and three-time all-pro performer.
- Team captain and honorable mention all-state, all metro selection, two-time all-conference, led the Tornadoes to state three consecutive years including a second place finish in 1991.
- Played at Viterbo College for one year before playing professional outdoor soccer with the Cleveland Crunch, Milwaukee Wave, Cincinnati Riverhawks and Milwaukee Wave United.
- Named defensive player of the year for Cleveland and led the team to two league titles during his six years with the team. Also led the Milwaukee Wave to two league titles and the Louisiana Swampcats to two indoor soccer championships.
- Member of the U.S. National Futsal team in 2007, representing America in the Pan American games.
- Milwaukee Wave retired his jersey number 19 upon retirement along with the jersey of his twin brother Todd.

Theresa LeCuyer
1997
Theresa LeCuyer, class of 1997
- A two-sport standout in basketball and soccer for the Tornadoes.
- Anoka’s all-time women’s basketball scoring leader who was named all-state and all-metro as a Senior, three-time all-conference performer, and four-year letter winner.
- A two-time all-state as a goaltender in soccer, amassing 29 career shutouts and leading Anoka to a third-place finish at state.
- Two-time all conference, All-American, and Division 2 player of the year in basketball at the University of North Dakota. Played two-years at the University of Minnesota before transferring.
- Played professional basketball in Europe for six years following college.

Paula Leu
1984
Paula Leu, class of 1984
- A three-sport athlete in basketball, cross country and track for the Tornadoes.
- As a sophomore, she placed 12th at the state cross country meet, earned team most valuable player honors in basketball and set an indoor record for the 800 meter run in track and field.
- As a junior, placed third in the conference cross country meet but sat out basketball due to a cancer diagnosis. Returned to win the state championship in the 800 meter run. Was named track and field most valuable player.
- Her senior year was impacted by cancer and she served as team captain for cross-country and basketball and as an assistant coach for track and field. She was named Athena Award recipient and was an honor student and National Honor Society member.
- Paula lost her battle with cancer on June 25, 1984, just days following graduation.
